We are a family business, not a major national corporation. We started Militrade Inc. July 6, 2004 and launched the website October 1, 2004. What makes us different from other companies is our personal interest in the subject as well as a desire to serve others fairly. Our primary focus is the development of a quality site that emphasizes the proper reverence and respect for military history while providing users with easy access to information and an e-commerce (buying/selling/trading) environment. Our logo Militrade.com has the slogan "Preserving Military History with Honor" incorporated to clearly state our intention of honoring veterans and military heritage.

As we have studied our own family's history we have found a long tradition of serving this Country as well as the communities that we live in. Part of our lineage traces back to the Mayflower with roots to one of the earliest professional military employees, Miles Standish. Miles was hired by the Mayflower expedition to travel with the ship and train the settlers to defend themselves against potential enemies. He personally trained the Mayflower passengers on basic military skills as the ship sailed to the New World. Rather then return to Europe as originally planned, he chose to stay in the New World and started a new life along with the rest of the travelers.

Dating back to the early continental militia (pre-American Revolutionary War) to various branches of the modern day U.S. armed forces we have found many of years of military service in our heritage. In the 20th and 21st Century family members have served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and the Navy. Assignments included: flying C-130 support missions in Vietnam, delivering dispatches on motorcycle to General Patton in Germany, manning tanks in France and Germany, supplying and supporting beach forces in the Pacific, to serving on the first aircraft carrier, the USS Langley.

Militrade Inc. is dedicated to recognizing the tremendous effort and sacrifice made by the countless number of men and women who have served or are currently serving valiantly in the military for our Great Nation. To demonstrate our support, we are pledging to donate a portion of our annual profits to non-profit U.S. military veteran organizations to further their cause. Donations will be made on an annual basis and selection of the organization(s) will be made by a committee of Militrade Inc. corporate officers. If you know of an organization worthy of consideration for a future donation, please send an email to Militrade Inc. at customerservice@militrade.com and provide details about the organization you are nominating and explain why you believe they should be chosen for a contribution.
